Invitational Events at 2024 U14-U18 Championships

Registrations for this event are closed.

A small number of invitational track events will be offered to Under 20 & Open age group athletes as part of the ACT 2024 Under 14 to Under 18 Championships.  This Championships is being held at the Woden Park Athletics Track. 

 The program on events can be found at the bottom of the page, U20 & Open events are highlighted in yellow. 

For registered Athletics ACT, Dual Registered athletes, and interstate registered athletes, please login to your account before starting to register for this event. The Login button is at the upper right of the entry portal screen.

On-Line Entry

Athletes can enter individual meets at a cost of $15.00. This fee is payable at the time of registration for the meet. 

Athletes must Check In for each event at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the event/s. If you fail to do this, you will be removed from the event.

On-Day Entry

There will be no on-day entry available for these events. 

Eligibility

Participants using this portal must be registered members of Athletics ACT (includes Little Athletics ACT Dual Registrations), another State/Territory athletics body affiliated with Athletics Australia or, for international athletes, their home nation athletics body.

Athletes registered in the ACT must wear their Club uniform.  Interstate registered athletes must wear either their Club or State uniform. 

The minimum age to compete is 18 years of age (as at 31st December 2024)

If you are a registered athlete, please ensure that you have selected the correct:

AACT Club (must have turned 18 before 31 December 2022);
if a non AACT athlete, the correct State/Territory/Country.

The age determination date for athletes is 31st December 2024. 

Registration Process

When entering events, please ensure that you enter the seed performance relevant to the event being entered.  Please take careful note of the seed performance format. All track events of 400 metres or more use a format of mm:ss.dd (eg '2:36.23' or 12:26.23').  If you do not use a valid seed performance format, the performance you have entered will be rejected on import to Meet Manager and, instead, it will be shown as 'NT' (ie No Time).

If you have an IPC classification, please enter it against the relevant question in the format "TxxFxx".

All AACT Meets are conducted in accordance with the current AACT Rules of Competition

Shoe Declaration

World Athletics has amended Rule 5 in relation to shoes worn in competition.

Athletics Australia requires all athletes competing in the Open and Under 20 age divisions (including Para) to submit a Shoe Declaration prior to their first National competition / Permit meet / Continental Tour meet for 2022/23. Once you have declared your shoes, the delcaration will be used for the remainder of Athletics in the ACT events this season. 

Example: If you are are 16yr old athlete compeitng in the Open or U20 age group then you need to comply with the Shoe Regulations.

Please note that World Athletics continually amend the Approved Shoe List as they complete their testing of shoes, therefore athletes should ensure they check this list on a regular basis.
