Introduction
There are a wide number of different courses run within the ACT that can help guide current and future coaches on their journey.
Courses developed by Little Athletics Australia include the Introduction to Little Athletics Events course. This course is a great first look at some fundemental, event specific teaching points that are required when you first start out coaching at a LIttle Athletics Level.
Courses accredited by Athletics Australia include both Track & Field and Recreational Running Streams. These courses range from Level 1 to Level 5 and transverse through the pathway from beginner coach to performance and elite level coaches. There is a good range of content in all courses and they require completition of pre-requistites and coursework to move to the next level of accreditation.
Courses developed specifically by Athletics in the ACT include the Age Group Manager Training Course. This course is a specific Little Athletics resource course developed by Little Athletics ACT for Little Athletics ACT affiliated Centres. It guides current and future Age Group Managers through the basics of Officiating, Coaching, Safety and Running the event tips for each Little Athletics event group. There is online only content and/or face-to-face delivery of this course.
