Kumon Under 6 to Under 8 Little Athletics Teams Challenge

The U6-U8 Teams Challenge is a fun event where our youngest little athletes get the opportunity to participate in team events against little athletes from other Little Athletics Centres. Activities are based on game like activities that teach fundamental movements and motor skills. These activities involve competition but are done with modified rules and specifications to emphasise the focus on fun and participation rather than individual performance.

This event is based on the developmental age appropriate guidelines as set out by both Little Athletics Australia and Athletics Australia. These guidelines recognise that children are not small-scale adults, and that the performance of a child is not a clear indicator of future adult performance.

Cost

The cost for this event will be $5 per registered athlete.

Eligibility

Any Under 6, Under 7 or Under 8 Little Athlete who is registered with Little Athletics ACT is eligible to participate at this event.

Any athlete wishing to compete must register by 11:45pm on Tuesday 7th February. Please note there will be NO LATE ENTRIES TAKEN OR ANY ENTRIES ALLOWED ON THE DAY. Please make sure you complete 1 entry per athlete.

Team Formation

After entries have closed, Centres will be provided with a list of entries to make their own teams and Little Athletics ACT will make composite teams from the remaining entries. You will be informed what team your child is in before COB Friday the 10th of Feburary.
