AACT Emerging Athlete Program - School Sport athlete pathway
Athlete Selection Criteria
- Eligible athletes must have been born in either 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008;
- Have shown strong performance potential in any school sport Track & Field carnival or specfic track and Field PE lesson; or have produced a top 3 performance in event in the 2022 ACT School Sport Track & Field Championships
- Have full intention of becoming a member with AACT, and;
- Remain in good standing with AACT and AA.
Application Process
Athletes will be required to submit an application by clicking the nominate button above, detailing;
- Details and results (where possible) on strong Track & Field performances and a school contact and email address, should Athletics ACT need to confirm any details*; or results from the 2022 ACT School Sport Track & FIeld Championships;
- Details about your overall experience with Athletics, and your history with other sports, and;
- Details about why you would like to be selected for the ACT EAP.
*Athletics ACT EAP Selection Panel will consider each nomination through this pathway on its individual merit. We will contact your school contact via email should we feel we need more information to make a decision on your nomination.
**ACT EAP is an all-inclusive program and Para athletes are strongly encouraged to apply.**
