2023/24 ACT Combined Events Championships

The ACT 2023/24 Combined Events Championships will be held at Woden Athletics Track from the 16-17th of December 2023.

Please note that the World Ranking Competition only applies to U18, U20 and Open Combined Events.

Please note that the age determination date for non Masters athletes will be 31 December 2023.  The age determination date for athletes competing the the Masters events is the first day of the competition.

For Little Athletics events, age groups are as per the athletes current Little Athletics age category for the 2023/24 season. This will correspond with the age group shown on the program of events. 

This year Little Athletics events are U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 &  Little Athletes (Little Athletics only or dual registered athletes), as well as Masters events (Please see below). An Open Women Decathlon will also be run alongside the Men. Masters events will be conducted in 5 year age increments (30-34, 35-39 etc)

Dual athletes can choose whether to compete in the Little Athletics event OR Capital Athletics Event. Little Athletics Only registered athletes must only compete in Little Athletics events. If athletes need their points converted to another point score system, they are responsible to undertake this themselves using the actual event performances as notified/published.

The Entry fee is $45.00 for 2 day events and $25 for 1 day events.  Entry is on-line entry only - there are NO On-Day or late entries to the Combined Events Championships. 

Entries close at 4:00pm on Monday 11th December 2023.

Athletes may elect to compete up one (1) age group only. ie an Under 16 age group athlete may compete in the U18 age group combined event but not in the Under 20 or Open age group combined event.

Athletes must sign on at least 45 minutes before their first event at the start of each day of competition.

There is also a full range of Individual Events on offer but these must be entered using a seperate event entry portal (see the Capital Athletics website).

Shoe Declaration

World Athletics has amended Rule 5 in relation to shoes worn in competition.

Athletics Australia requires all athletes competing in the Open and Under 20 age divisions (including Para) to submit a Shoe Declaration prior to their first National competition / Permit meet / Continental Tour meet for 2023/24. Once you have declared your shoes, the delcaration will be used for the remainder of Athletics in the ACT events this season. 

Example: If you are are 16yr old athlete compeitng in the Open or U20 age group then you need to comply with the Shoe Regulations.

Please note that World Athletics continually amend the Approved Shoe List as they complete their testing of shoes, therefore athletes should ensure they check this list on a regular basis.
