2024 Australian Half Marathon Championships

Date: Sunday 11th August 2024

Venue: Sunshine Coast

Eligibility : The 2024 Australian Half Marathon Championships is open to all athletes who are registered with an Athletics Australia-affiliated club and meet the Athletics Australia rules for National competition. 

The first three eligible men and women to finish the Half Marathon will be presented with Australian Championship medals (whether selected by their State or not) Gold, silver, and bronze medals will also be presented in the men’s and women’s teams’ competition.

Each State and Territory Member Association can select up to six male and six female representatives with the top three finishers in each team scoring points towards their state team result.

Qualification Standard : Women: 1:30:00 Men: 1:20:00

Assistance Packages :

All State Member Associations are invited to send up to six (6) male and six (6) female athletes to contest the 2024 Australian Half Marathon Championship.

The following assistance packages will be available. - Free race entry to all nominated MA team members (top 3 ranked athletes – athletes ranked 4-6 need to enter themselves)

- Use of the Elite Athlete facilities on race day (all 6 athletes)

- An elite start at the front of the field (all 6 athletes)

- Allowance of $150 dollars per athlete (top 3 ranked athletes) paid by the organisers post event

- Ground transport to the start line (if applicable – top 3 ranked athletes if staying at meet hotel)

- Facility access into/out of Event venue for the athlete briefing (all 6 athletes)
