Coles ACT Relay Carnival - Spectator Registration
Sat 12 Dec 2020 08:30 — 17:30

Event information

Registrations for this event are closed.

The 2020 Coles ACT Relay Carnival will be conducted on Saturday 12th December at Woden Park Athletics Centre. This will be a joint event with registered athletes from Little Athletics ACT and Athletics ACT, including master’s members, competing across 5 sessions.

Due to COVD-19 restrictions we have split the day into 5 sessions with each age group competing in 2 track relays. There will be no field event relays this season. You will note on the draft program which can be found at by clicking here, there are strict enter, commencement, finish and exit times. These have been put into place to ensure we meet all COVID-19 requirements and to ensure we can all enjoy the day as risk free as possible. This may mean some events scheduled for a session will not be completed if we reach the time allocated. To help assist us in completing events on time once entries close centres/clubs will be sent a list of their entries so they can start forming teams. These can be changed on the day if athletes do not turn up. It a centre/club cannot make a full team, composite teams (of the same gender) will be formed on the day at the marshalling tent. We ask that each centre/club has a team manager who can assist with this process. We will do our upmost to ensure everyone who wants to compete gets a chance to. More details on how composite teams work will be available in the event booklet which will be released shortly.

Those athletes registered with both Little Athletics ACT and Athletics ACT will be able to compete in both the Little Athletics ACT U15 to U17 events and the Athletics ACT U14 to U20 events listed in Session 4. The Athletics ACT events in this session will be run as U20 events however anyone who is registered with Athletics ACT in age groups U20 or below can participate. While we would prefer athletes to compete in the correct uniform (i.e. Little Athletics Centre or Athletics ACT club) during this session we understand that time may not permit.

Any athlete wishing to compete must register at https://www.athleticsintheact.com.au/events/81535/ by 11:45pm on Wednesday 2nd December. Please note there will be NO LATE ENTRIES TAKEN OR ANY ENTRIES ALLOWED ON THE DAY. Please make sure you complete 1 entry per athlete.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions currently in place and to ensure as many athletes as possible can compete, for athletes under the age of 18 there is a maximum of 1 parent/guardian per child in the venue during the session they are competing in. You will need to complete the spectator registration form which can be found at https://www.athleticsintheact.com.au/events/81536/ by the close of entries otherwise you will not be allowed inside the venue. If you have a child not competing during a session you must complete a spectator registration form for the session/s they will be spectating at. Please make sure you complete 1 entry per spectator.

Any other spectators/coaches should be kept to an absolute minimum. They also need to complete the registration form at https://www.athleticsintheact.com.au/events/81536/ by close of entries to have access to the venue during the event. If you do not complete this form you will not be allowed inside the venue. Please make sure you complete 1 entry per spectator.

All athletes and spectators will be required to comply with the COVIDSafe Plan for the event which is available by clicking here. There will be COVID-19 Safety Officers at both the gate and around the venue during the event. Please make sure you follow any instructions given by these Officers otherwise you may be asked to leave the venue. There will be sectioned off areas for spectators to stand ensuring we meet the requirement of a maximum of one person per two square metres of usable space (excluding staff). Due to the COVID restrictions no centre/club will be allowed to set up a marquee/tent however we would encourage centres to set up a table so athletes can advise they have arrived.

Please note there will be NO canteen conducted at this event. There will be some refreshments available for officials only.

If you have any questions in regards to this event please contact the Athletics in the ACT Office on (02) 6247 1296 or executive@actlaa.org.au.
