Introduction

Age Group Managers are integral to the running and management of all Little Athletics Centres and we love what they do, so here at Little Athletics ACT, we just want to make their life a little bit easier!

This short course will guide current and future Age Group Managers through basic officiating and coaching for each Little Athletics event, and we are hopeful that it will give more parents the confidence to take on Age Group Managers roles and be a possible stepping stone towards completing a coaching course or officiating course.

All Little A’s Centres will do things slightly differently. Participants should understand that we are running through the basic officiating, coaching and some other tips, and they will still need to work through each Centres systems and requirements.

For each event group this course will cover; officiating, coaching, an event competency checklist, safety and running the event and additional modules will cover the para Little Athlete and Teaching Styles

This course is not affiliated with Little Athletics Australia or Athletics Australia, but a specific education resource for Age Group Managers involved with Little Athletics ACT Centres.

Delivery

There is both a 2-2.5 hour face-to-face 'Age Group Manager Training Course' as well as an online course with all modules included plus an online resource library.

There is no expectation that participants will complete both courses, however this would result in the greatest level of learning.

FACE TO FACE
